Restoration and reinstatement of Te Koutu gates and stone pillars

For more than 100 years the Te Koutu gates stood as the entry point to one of Cambridge's oldest and well-known park attractions. There's no doubt the Thomas Wells Memorial Gates are just as beautiful now as they were when constructed in 1911.

But time had taken its toll on the gates, originally commissioned to mark the park entrance. Waikato Stonecraft were proud to be part of the specialist restoration team, so that the gates can be enjoyed by more people in a prominant site at the roundabout near St Andrew's Church.

2015 Award winning Raglan headstone resoration

The monument to Wiremu Neera Te Awaitaia stands in Raglan, erected in his honor. Wiremu Neera Te Awaitaia was a Māori chief during first contact with European traders, the 1820s Musket Wars up to the 1860s New Zealand Wars. He has been described as a "Chief of great influence" in the region of Raglan.

This historical headstone was in a very delapidated condition but was brought back to life by the team at Waikato Stonecraft.
